As a 16-channel device, this MRI head coil offers a 30 percent increase in signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) compared to competitive 8-channel brain coils and combination head and neck coils. Multi-channel coil technology also serves to speed up the scanning times while also enabling parallel imaging in all three planes, both of which serve to increase patient throughput and improving image quality and detail.

In addition to optimal performance, the MR Instruments 16-channel head coil offers the highest level of patient comfort with its open access design. In fact, the opening of this MRI head coil is 12 percent larger than most 8-channel coils, dramatically reducing claustrophobia while offering the extra space needed for headphones to further reduce patient anxiety.
Due to the larger size and internal diameter of the head coil, this 16-channel head coil can accommodate 99 percent of all adult heads. With its innovative, lightweight design (5.9kg with base), the 16-channel head coil facilitates easy coil movement and patient positioning.
The 32-channel MRI head coils are compatible with 1.5T GE and Siemens MRIs.
