Behind the Scenes: Your Imaging Equipment Project Tracker, Explained from Start to Finish

Posted on

Buying an MRI or CT scanner is a multi-step project that requires careful planning, communication, and follow-through. Whether you’re building out a new suite or upgrading an old room, our team walks you through every stage with transparency and clarity.

We’ve developed a step-by-step process that ensures your imaging equipment is delivered, installed, and running smoothly. Here's how it all comes together.

Step 1: Sales Agreement Signed

Once your purchase is confirmed, your dedicated project manager is assigned. This person becomes your main point of contact and coordinates every part of the install.

Step 2: Equipment Prep Begins

While you're preparing your space, we’re preparing your system. For refurbished systems, this includes testing, servicing, and any necessary software upgrades. For new systems, we coordinate directly with the OEM to keep everything on schedule.

Step 3: Site Walkthrough and Planning

A member of our team will review your facility either in person or virtually. We look at space, electrical, HVAC, and delivery access to make sure the room can support your chosen system.

Step 4: Floor Plan Review and Approval

We develop a layout based on your room dimensions, equipment size, and required clearances. This ensures proper workflow and safety. You review and approve the layout, and we then finalize installation plans.

Step 5: Readiness Checklist and Final Walkthrough

Before scheduling delivery, we confirm that all site requirements are in place. This includes power, HVAC, wall prep, and any other needs outlined in the checklist. Once complete, we’re ready to ship and install.

Step 6: Delivery and Installation

We schedule a delivery window that fits your timeline. Our install team will set up the unit, confirm placement, and power it on. If shielding or calibration is needed, we handle it before moving to the next step.

Step 7: System Handoff and Documentation

Your project manager completes a final walkthrough and provides a formal turnover letter. This confirms that installation is complete and your system is ready for use.

Step 8: Applications Training and Go Live

Our trainer works directly with your team to ensure everyone knows how to use the equipment properly. Once training wraps, your system is officially live and ready to scan.

Step 9: Warranty and Service Support

If you’ve opted for a service contract, it begins immediately after your warranty period ends. Our support team stays available to help with performance monitoring, service, and ongoing questions.
