Low-Slice CT Scanners (4 to 16 slices)

  • Research settings where image detail and speed are critical

Considerations:

  • Premium pricing (often starting at $300,000 or more)
  • May require more extensive room prep and IT infrastructure
  • Higher learning curve for technologists

Unless your volume and case complexity truly demand it, a 128-slice system may be more than you need. Many clients achieve similar outcomes at lower cost with a well-equipped 64-slice scanner.
